The third Ely SOUP took place at Market Street Brasserie on Wednesday 12 October.

The grand total from the door takings was £270, and the voter’s choice (it was tough!) was Essentials by Sue, a worthy project and we look forward to welcoming Sue back in 2017 to share how the funding was spent.
Sue Loaker said ‘am absolutely delighted to have gained the majority of the votes for Essentials by Sue project, the winnings will be used to purchase items for young people in Ely and surrounding villages, helping to safeguard them from bullying, build self-esteem and protecting their dignity.
Big shout out to our wonderful host Market Street Brasserie, who looked after us and cooked up a wonderful leek and potato soup and many tasty canapés. Make sure you pop by and taste the rest of their menu! Also a thank you to Tesco for providing our bread on the evening.
